Last month, I had a chance to visit a Lab room in our school - Dongguk University @ Seoul Campus - where a ZCorp Z650 3D Printer was located. I made a plan of writing something about this "best-in-class, high performance" 3D Printer but because of my tight schedule, I can only start writing about it today. What can we say about this equipment? First, it is a 3D Printer, whose purpose of usage is to make 3D Prototypes (or Models, or Objects or whatever you can imagine as 3D physical objects) with the inputs are 3D CAD Files from a computer connected to it. In many cases, the input files is an .STL file, which is the result of a 3D scanning-and-processing process or a 3D CAD drawing process. Once the computer has the file and is connected, the 3D Printer can run an automatic procedure with the output is a 3D Prototype. It's that simple. A 3D Prototype made by Z650:
I will not go any details about the theoretical issue of how 3D Printers work. Instead, you guys who care about this topic, can find it easily on Google or Wikipedia. Let's go through the product features, specifications and main advantages: "The Spectrum Z650 is a full color and automated system of 3D printers which has been engineered particularly to fulfill most demanding needs in sectors of engineering, education, the AEC and GIS plus in entertainment. Having the biggest build volume this 3D printer makes it possible for its users to take out prints of very large and high-resolution plus multicolor models." - Quoted from printcountry.com Features:
